John Cabeca, Director of the West Coast United States Patent and Trademark Office in Silicon Valley
A veteran of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for over 26 years, John carries out the strategic direction of the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO, and is responsible for establishing and leading the USPTO's west coast regional office located in Silicon Valley.
Robert W. (Bob) Bahr, Deputy Commissioner, Patent Examination Policy
Bob is currently the Deputy Commissioner for Patent Examination Policy, and has been involved in virtually every patents-related rule making since 1995, notably the changes to implement the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act and the American Inventors Protection Act of 1999. Bob has been awarded two Department of Commerce Gold Medals and two Department of Commerce Bronze Medals.
