PROGRAM:
A program for patent litigators AND patent prosecution attorneys - patent litigation is burdensome for any company, but it presents an outsize burden for smaller and emerging companies. Among other things, a patent litigation threat can discourage investment, and divert company resources away from product development. When a non-practicing entity asserts patent rights, some of the avenues typical in competitor circumstances are unavailable. Join us for a discussion about strategies that smaller companies may employ to manage patent litigation threats by non-practicing entities.
PRESENTER: Jason Angell, Partner, Freitas Angell & Weinberg LLP
Jason has focused his career on antitrust litigation, intellectual property litigation, and other complex matters for domestic and international technology companies. Jason has litigated cases involving technologies as diverse as computer software and hardware, semiconductors, consumer electronics devices, medical devices, and biotechnology.
